VeriAfrica cover card, VeriAfrica News: "VeriAfrica Beta: 1,400+ Opportunities, 49 Countries"

In brief

  • The VeriAfrica beta at app.veriafrica.com held more than 1,400 live opportunities from 49 African countries on 7 October 2026, refreshed twice a day.
  • Our AI agents now map 220 sources across 17 categories, from national tender portals to donor pipelines.
  • New: 61 capital markets sources, covering 24 African stock exchanges, sovereign debt auctions in the WAEMU and CEMAC zones, and institutional investor filings.
  • Every opportunity can be read in six languages: English, French, Portuguese, Kiswahili, Arabic and Spanish.

When we opened the VeriAfrica beta, the promise was simple: every African opportunity, in your language, in one place. A few weeks in, here is where the platform stands, and what we just added.

What is on the board today

Government tenders make up most of the board, followed by donor-funded procurement, the World Bank’s pre-tender project pipeline, joint-venture and subcontracting leads, and expressions of interest. South Africa, Kenya and Rwanda currently publish the most notices, with growing coverage of Francophone markets including Cameroon, the Republic of Congo, Guinea and Tunisia.

Construction leads by sector, followed by supplies and equipment, energy, ICT, transport and logistics, and education. Every notice is extracted, structured and translated by AI, then filtered for your sector and markets.

New: African capital markets and sovereign debt

Opportunity in Africa is not only public procurement. Capital is moving too, and until now it has been just as fragmented across languages and exchanges. We have added 61 new sources to the VeriAfrica source map, in five categories:

  • African exchange announcements (24 sources): including the BRVM for the eight WAEMU countries, the BVMAC for the six CEMAC countries, the Nigerian Exchange, the Ghana Stock Exchange, the Ethiopian Securities Exchange, the Rwanda Stock Exchange and Lusophone markets such as BODIVA in Angola.
  • Sovereign debt (8 sources): UMOA-Titres and BEAC auction calendars and results, and central bank Treasury bill auctions in Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda and Ghana.
  • Institutional moves (9 sources): fund holdings in US filings, stake disclosures by London-listed African companies, and short-interest data.
  • Market data (9 sources) and deal news and regulators (11 sources), including the capital markets authorities of Rwanda and Kenya, AMF-UMOA and COSUMAF.

These sources are now visible on our AI Sourcing page, and their live feeds are being switched on in phases. Everything published from them is presented as notices and filings, for information only, never as investment advice.

Built for Africa’s language lines

A tender in Libreville, a bond auction in Dakar and a listing in Nairobi rarely reach the same reader. VeriAfrica translates every opportunity into the six official languages of the African Union, so a firm in Kigali can read a Cameroonian tender in English, and a firm in Abidjan can read a Kenyan one in French.

And where technology stops, people take over: businesses proposed for matchmaking are verified by a human consultant before any introduction is made.
